At Grimsley's Fighting Arts, we create a positive, energizing, & safe environment for our students to learn & apply their martial arts to their lives. It's more than kicks & punches at GFA. We help mold our students into upstanding citizens and create future leaders for our community!
With over 40 years of martial arts experience, Master David Grimsley has achieved numerous milestones, both personally and by helping others achieve their goals. He competed and placed in the Tae Kwon Do National Tournament in 1983 and has coached over 40 students who placed in the Junior Olympic Tae Kwon Do Tournament at the national level, as well as many others in various competitions.
In 1983, Master Grimsley earned his 1st Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do and began his legacy by founding Grimsley’s Fighting Arts in St. Marys, Georgia. He is one of only three individuals in the United Tang Soo Do Federation to achieve the rank of 8th Degree Black Belt.
In 1993, his daughter, Master Logan, was born and later followed in his footsteps, carving out her own records and achievements. She is currently a 5th Degree Black Belt and an instructor at Grimsley’s Fighting Arts.
Master Grimsley remains active in the Dojang, continuing to do what he loves. Now in his 60s, he trains students of all ages, from as young as four to senior adults. He still demonstrates his skill by breaking boards and blocks, inspiring staff and students alike to set and achieve their own goals.
A constant source of motivation and encouragement, Master Grimsley welcomes new students with enthusiasm and is dedicated to helping them become the best versions of themselves.
Master Logan Bradford has been training in Tang Soo Do since the age of three. She participated in her first public karate demonstration at just four years old and has performed for countless audiences since. She began volunteering at Grimsley’s Fighting Arts at the age of twelve and has continued her training, earning her 5th Degree Black Belt in March 2023. While she remains focused on achieving higher ranks, she is also devoted to growing her family.
Master Logan strongly believes in the timeless ethics of martial arts—respect, courage, perseverance, and integrity. These values, instilled in her by Grandmaster Grimsley, are the same principles she plans to pass on to her and Master Alec’s daughter, Blakelynn.
Now a Master in her own right, Logan Grimsley Bradford serves as the CEO of Grimsley’s Fighting Arts. She is dedicated to creating a positive, disciplined, and goal-driven environment where students of all ages can thrive in their martial arts journey.
Every day, Master Logan can be found on the training floor, working closely with her students and inspiring them to reach their goals.
As a young boy, Master Alec Bradford was taught self-defense by his father, a retired law enforcement officer for the State of Georgia who also served in the United States Army. His father introduced him to various martial arts disciplines, including wrestling, grappling, pressure points, locks, and joint manipulation.
Master Alec began training in Tang Soo Do at the age of eleven after spending 3 ½ years at another school. In 2009, he became a full-time student at Grimsley’s Fighting Arts. He holds a 4th Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and a Brown Belt in Judo.
Dedicated to continuous improvement, Master Alec strives to unearth new ways to teach Tang Soo Do by integrating techniques from other styles of martial arts into his instruction. He takes pride in identifying strengths and weaknesses in both himself and his students to enhance their self-defense skills.
Mr. Bradford is currently an instructor at Grimsley’s Fighting Arts. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and looks forward to advancing beyond the rank of Master in Tang Soo Do in the near future. When he is not teaching or training, he enjoys furthering his martial arts journey.
Sensei Lance Olson began his martial arts journey in 1985 with Kuk Sool Won, earning his 1st Degree Black Belt in 1989. In 1991, at the age of 17, he began studying Judo in Canton, IL, under George Weers. From 1991 to 1996, he trained and coached with Mr. Weers, participating in numerous competitions and earning medals at the local, regional, and national levels.
During this time, Sensei Lance also trained at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and the National Judo Institute. In 1997, he met Coach Wheeler, who was teaching Judo at the Boys and Girls Club and a local high school in Macon, GA.
